Awakening The Hebrew Soul!
Yeshua, the Messiah, and His disciples were all Jewish. They followed the Biblical Sabbath day, celebrated the Hebrew Festivals, and demonstrated how Elohim intended us to live. As we enter the last days, Elohim calls us to live as Yeshua and His early followers did—to Awaken The Hebrew Soul of both the Christian and Jewish Faiths!
"I felt the necessity to write to you urging you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the set-apart ones.'
-Jude 1:3
Did you know that Yeshua and His disciples followed the Torah as initially written in the Tanakh (Old Testament)? They observed Elohim's instructions as described in the Torah.
He never once spoke against the Torah, but he always spoke against the man-made laws and traditions (Takkanot) that the religious leaders constantly imposed on the Jewish people. Matthew 23:4
The Book of Acts records that the early church followed all the Sabbaths, Biblical festivals, vows, purity, and food laws.
It wasn't until 325 AD that the Council of Nicaea, led by the emperor Constantine, outlawed Christians' observance of anything "Jewish" to unify the Roman Empire with the Catholic church. They changed the Saturday Sabbath to Sunday (the day of the venerable sun), Passover to Easter, and Yeshua's birthday from the Feast of Tabernacles, September/October, to Dec 25th.
The Catholic Church (man) changed these days, not Elohim, and Elohim is now calling His Bride (All of His True Followers) back to the original Faith once delivered to the Saints. Jude 1:3
“Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you."-
Deuteronomy 4:2
Elohim's original instructions, His Torah, Is Perfect.
David describes the Torah of Elohim: "The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes;" Psalm 19: 7-8 Elohim's instructions didn't need any additions or subtractions. It was enough for us to live the life Elohim wanted us to live.
Both Rabbinic Judiasim & The Church Have Added and Taken Away From Elohim's Perfect Instructions.
David said this about the Torah: "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path." Psalm 119-105. Elohim gave us the ancient path that offers "rest for our souls" Jeremiah 6:16. Elohim warned us NEVER to change His Torah because the minute we change it, it is no longer Elohim's instruction. This takes us off the original path Elohim laid out for us to live.
Elohim is Awakening The Hebrew All Over The World!
This isn't our movement, this is Elohim's movement. Today, Christians and Jews from all over the world are having their Hebrew soul awakened out of the man-made customs, rituals, and traditions that have been added by both the Church and Rabbinical Judaism. "Urging us (Christians & Jews) to earnestly contend for the belief (faith) which was given to the Saints" Jude 1:3 The original betrothal covenant Elohim intended for His bride at Mt. Sinai.
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to complete!
-Matthew 5: 17
What does Yeshua mean that He completed the Torah and the Prophets? Does that mean Yeshua ended them? Yeshua knew His followers might think this, so He added: "For truly, I say to you, till heaven and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. Whoever, then breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens. Matthew 5:18-19
A yod or title is the little mark that helps identify the pronunciation of a Hebrew word.

So again, if Yeshua says that the Torah will not pass away until Heaven and Earth pass away, and that hasn't happened yet, what is Yeshua talking about when He says He came to "complete the Torah and the prophets?"
Yeshua is Renewing the Covenant That Both the Torah & The Prophets Said Would be Renewed in The Bible!
It was always Elohim's plan that the 12 Tribes of Israel would be a nation of priests and kings who would be a light to the nations.
"and He says, “Shall it be a small matter for You to be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Ya‛aqoḇ, and to bring back the preserved ones of Yisra’ĕl? And I shall give You as a light to the nations, to be My deliverance to the ends of the earth!”
Isaiah 49:6
But for the Children of Israel to fulfill their mission as a light to the nations and be the nation of priests & Kings that the world needed them to be, they had to obey the Torah as Elohim intended.
'‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine – ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation."
Shemoth (Exodus) 19:5-6
Call To ActionThe Same Covenant Renewed on New Tablets With "Better Promises"
Elohim is ALWAYS good to His word. He promised Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph that He would make an everlasting covenant with them and that every nation on earth would be blessed through their lineage. Elohim made the original covenant, giving the Torah to the Hebrew people at Mt. Sinai, which has been broken and renewed three times!
Each time Elohim renews the covenant, He rewrites it on new tablets. The Covenant remains the same, but the tablets change. But as Paul says, the renewed covenant through Yeshua has "better promises" because this time, the Torah would be "written on the tablets of our minds & hearts, not on tablets of stone" Jeremiah 31: 31-34 Heb 8:6-13
The Torah, written on our hearts & minds through the Holy Spirit, cleanses our conscience (Heb 9:14). It helps us not break it again, as our ancestors did, allowing us also to be blessed with the blessings for obedience as outlined in Torah with abundant provision, healing, and protection from both physical and spiritual enemies. Deut 6: Deut 28:
Here is a brief history of how Elohim continually renewed His covenant with us in His mercy, love, and grace, even when we didn't deserve it. We deserved death by breaking the covenant with spiritual adultery and disobedience, and yet Elohim sent the Messiah, the Torah (WORD) made flesh, to take on the death penalty for us so we could once again be in a covenant of blessing, protection, and healing, as well as complete the original mission as His Priests & Kings in the earth to be a "light to the nations."
Elohim Makes The Covenant With Tablets Cut & Written by The Finger of Elohim...
“Then יהוה gave me the two tablets of stone written with the finger of Elohim, and on them were all the Words which יהוה had spoken to you on the mountain from the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly. Deut: 9:10
Mt. Sinai, Elohim offers the people a betrothal covenant of blessing, protection, and healing (The Torah). If they keep this covenant, they will be His special possession and a nation of priests and kings to guide the nations as to who the One True God is. The people agree to this covenant, and Moses seals the covenant with blood, meaning whoever breaks the covenant, Elohim or the people, is as dead as the animal whose blood was shed. Exodus 24
The People Break The Covenant: The Golden Calf
The dust wasn't even dry on the tablets of the 10 Commandments when Elohim told Moses that the people had already committed adultery on Him by worshiping the golden calf. Elohim tells Moses He will impose the death penalty that the people rightfully deserve for breaking the covenant and start over with Him. Moses breaks the original tablets to show the covenant was broken. Moses pleads with Elohim to have mercy on the people. Elohim agrees and has Moses cut out two new tablets to bring to Him to renew the covenant with the people. Exodus: 32-34
Elohim Renews the Covenant With Tablets Moses Has to Cut Out of Stone...
And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I shall write on these tablets the Words that were on the first tablets which you broke." Exodus: 34:1
The covenant doesn't change, but the tablets do.
The Nation of Israel Was Eventually Divided!
In Deuteronomy, Elohim told Moses that once the children of Israel were in the promised land, they would eventually stop obeying the Torah. And this is precisely what happened. After King Solomon's reign, due to continued sin and disobeying the Torah, the Kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms —the 10 Northern Tribes, known as the House of Israel, or the House of Joseph, and the Southern Tribes of Judah & Benjamin in the South. Elohim told Solomon, because of his father David, that only one Tribe would never be lost— the Tribe of Judah. (Jews)
The 10 Northern Tribes Dispersed Into The Nations!
After constant warnings from the prophets, the Assyrians conquered the House of Israel and dispersed among the nations. By the time of Yeshua, the House of Israel was considered Gentiles and known as the "Lost Sheep of Israel." Judah was dispersed into Babylon for 70 years before returning to their land. Still, only about 10% of the "Jews" returned. But there was hope! Both the Torah and The Prophets said there would be a time when Elohim would send a Messiah to restore the entire House of Israel, both the Lost Tribes and The Tribe of Judah! Ezekiel 37-43
The Messiah Will Restore the ENTIRE House of Israel!
“See, I am taking the stick of Yosĕph, which is in the hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, his companions. And I shall give them unto him, with the stick of Yehuḏah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand.” ’ “And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. “And speak to them, ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am taking the children of Yisra’ĕl from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall bring them into their land. “And I shall make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl. And one sovereign shall be sovereign over them all, and let them no longer be two nations, and let them no longer be divided into two reigns.'

Yeshua, The Messiah, Comes to Restore The Lost Sheep of Israel!
In Deuteronomy, Elohim told Moses that once the children of Israel were in the promised land, they would eventually stop obeying the Torah. And this is precisely what happened. After King Solomon's reign, due to continued sin and disobeying the Torah, the Kingdom of Israel was divided into two kingdoms —the 10 Northern Tribes, known as the House of Israel, and the Tribe of Judah and Benjamin in the South, known as the House of Judah.
Yeshua Renews The Covenant Again With His Own Blood!
The Renewed Covenant is Written on The Tablets of Our Hearts!
When Yeshua started His ministry, Judah was under Roman rule. As the Torah & Prophets had predicted, Yeshua came as the Messiah to renew the original betrothal covenant that the House of Israel (10 Lost Tribes) and the Tribe of Judah & Benjamin were still in the land. As Yeshua told the Samaritan woman, a member of the Lost Sheep, "And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl.” Matthew 15:24
Our Story
We're Lou and Tami, just an everyday couple from Portage, Michigan, with hearts anchored in faith and a walk that's taken us back to the Torah's rich soil.
Lou's eyes were first opened to the Hebrew Roots during a Passover Seder in the '90s. Raised Catholic, the profound moment during the sacred meal—“this is the cup of redemption”—struck a chord within him. It was the beginning of his journey for authenticity in the truth of God’s word.
Tami entered the story with a Christian Reformed upbringing, where the Jewish feasts were pages in someone else's history. Yet, when our lives intertwined in 2006, so did our faiths. Witnessing the Passover's transformative power and the reflection of Yeshua within, Tami’s spirit was captivated, and a new shared chapter began.
Together, we've felt the gentle guidance of Elohim, showing us how His Kingdom operated, and how to use our faith, and ultimately drawing us deeper to the truth of the Biblical Festivals and the importance of the honoring the Sabbath as a believer in Messiah.
